The Umbrella Over My Head.

Today for me was one of those days when you stop and just watch everything you're going through pass through your thoughts and you can't catch your breathe. My life has been a thunderstorm lately that I can't always seem calm down.I've been having the hardest time with my family right now and its hard pushing through it everyday. Now my mom has decided to move on with her life and make some choices I don't agree with and it hurts. My mom and I havent been talking. There are a number of other things that are going on but these are just some of the main problems. Things just keep coming up in my life that I have to struggle with and I wonder sometimes what God is doing. I know that the things that are taking place in my life are for a reason but..why? I'm loosing the relationship with my mother. I have a broken family. School is coming..and I have wicked hard classes. I just want to be free of my worries. Whe I'm stuck worrying and being upset with all my problems I tend to blame everything on myself. On top of that I worry about my future and whats going to happen. Time with my friends and God are so valuable to me. Its the only time when I can just be honest with who I am and be worry free. I give my burdens to God and feel free and my Godly friends just make me feel like I don't have to worry and be sad or despressed because we're here to have a good time! All of this just came to mind to day when I went to my friend Caroline's birthday party. Today God put a little more emphasis on the promises he made to me. That I really dont have to worry because when it rains..He is my umbrella.I just have to give everything to God and trust in him and have faith that he will pull me through. Our spiritual war in this world isnt against the flesh so I am not look for someone to understand. I could use some words of encouragement. And if you've ever felt like I did today. Leave your thoughts.

Chris and Conrad Band!

This is the Chris and Conrad band that played at High School Camp. They were a blessing to hear. God truly blessed them with some musical talents. I am sooo thankful they came to lead praise and worship. The band does have an acoustic CD out and I do recomend purchasing it. Get to know their music and who they are spiritually. They also have a myspace and facebook so go check it out. The music they played made me cry during worship because it was so moving and it just brought out the true child of God I am. I hope to hear them play again soon! A big thanks to the band for taking their time to come and play at our camp. Thanks to them "I'M READY NOW". Lets fight that spiritual war!

Heaven's Ed!

I would just like to say something that recently happened to me last saturday night at church. Recently like I have mentioned I am struggling with some convictions on my heart. I broke down on my knees a few nights ago and cried out to God in my tears. I told him of my convictions that were burdening my heart and I asked for his forgiveness and guidence through my struggles. I sat there in silence seeking God and....nothing. It worried me but I accepted the fact that it wasn't maybe the right moment in time for God to come. Which leads me to my story. That night God laid on Pastor Wicker's heart to talk about "Mind Control". Meaning the battles we face in our minds with Satin. At the end of his sermon he asked people to come to the altar and confess the sinful thoughts going on in your life. That message I felt was spoken directly to me with my emotional struggles. So I went up to the altar and prayed through my tears to God. Church was ending and people were walking out. I was walking next to this elderly man and he just kept giving me this look like he knew me? Then when I was walking to my Bible and Life Group the elder man stopped me and said you know God really just laid on my heart to just pray for specifically you tonight. I was literally blown away! I asked what he needed prayers for. We exchanged names. His name was Ed. I felt God's presence and he really did speak to me after all. He let me know he's having people help me along with his righteous hands. So through this story God let me know that he may not speak to you when you want him to but he listens and will help you through your struggles. Maybe Heaven will send you your ED! Praise God!

An Update?

Ok well basically I wanna give you an update on whats going on in my life. Just got back from church camp and it was amazing. I realized even though I wanted to get away from my problems, that should not have been one of my motives of going. I did grow in my faith and did learn how to escape some of Satin's temptations. I learned to take every thought captive and replace the doubts of my Savior with a new thought and let it glorify the Lord. Since then I must say I have had less doubts. Chris and Conrad came and played for worship. They were amazing. There were some emotional issues that went on with camp. That I won't get into though. I grew closer to some of my christian friends. I made some new accountability partners. Tubing was certainly amazing. I had some pretty hard falls but I got right back up and tubed on! After camp I thought to myself oh my gosh I must learn how to wakeboard. It really has become a desire. I can't even put into words how bad I want to learn. I stayed in a dorm with 9 0ther girls and trust me sharing one bathroom with all of them was a challenge. Especially when the water pressure was low along with the hot water! War games were awesome! The games were messy and upbeat. PAPAYA'S WON! Who else would ;].But now that were all home I went to my friend Emily's birthday party and now I'm going to my friend Becca's [BUFFY] birthday party after church tomorrow! I really have been struggling with this divorce and other emotional convictions in my life. I give it all to God and I know he's listening and there guiding me with his helping hands. Thats pretty much it for now. Lots of exciting things happening. I'll keep you posted. God Bless!!!

High School Camp!

I'm so excited for camp. Its going to be a blast. Spending it with all my friends is just going to make it even BETTER! I'm ready for God to work in my life and the lives of others. Hopefully when we come back we will be better men and women of God. Through our Lord and Savior we can make a difference in the lost. So lets get ready...Lake Placid is waiting. The one thing I'm most excited about is TUBING! Lets hope we got 105 people to come [cross your fingers]....say good-bye to the hair on Pastor Nate's chest. HELLO DUCT TAPE! Camp is going to be awesome.

Leaving it all Behind.

I've realized something. After we came back from our Lightforce trip to Ridgecrest North Carolina I realized I like being away. With this divorce I'm suffering through I have come to an agreement with myself and I accept it. When I get the chance to leave and get away from my problems I take advantage of it. So leaving for High School Camp is something I'm ready for. I don't like the fact that I'm leaving my parents just the fact that I'm leaving my problems. No one said this divorce was going to be easy but the feeling of leaving it all behind isn't hard to grasp. To me its a good feeling but bad at the same time. God is helping me become a better woman of God and through my struggles I still give him the glory. I know everything is happening for a reason. He has a plan for my life and I know I am blessed. Knowing that I've managed to come this far is a gift from God. In the end I will come out strong and I'm not giving up.I thank him for all He's doing in my life. I'm learning to count my blessings and not my problems. So here I am. I have my things packed and my heart set on leaving it all BEHIND!!
